The Grand Cultural Festival in Kyoto Station Building
On September 11th, 2007, the Kyoto Station Building celebrated its grand opening. This year marks the 20th anniversary and a variety of fun and attractive events will be held throughout September and October. Come to the Kyoto Station Building and join in the grand celebration!

RAINBOW HALLOWEEN


Oct. 11-31
Photo Spot


A special photo shooting stage will be set up during the event period and people can enjoy taking photos with pretty Halloween settings.
*Bring your own camera for the photo shooting.

Let's Make a Jack-o-lantern!


Try and make your own handmade Jack-o-lantern!
*Limited to the first 100 people.
Time: 11:00-17:00
Venue: Open space in front of the Kyoto Station Building

Participation requirement: Bring the receipts from the purchases of the day (total amount must be more than 3,000 yen; tax incl.; combining more than 2 receipts OK) at shops and restaurants inside the station building (ISETAN, SUVACO, Hotel Granvia Kyoto, The CUBE, Porta, Ramen Koji, etc., except Kotochika and Miyakomichi).


Pumpkin Night Show
Street performers and buskers will perform special night shows in front of the Halloween illumination.
Time: 17:00-19:00
Venue: Front Square in front of the Central Gate


Special Light-up

Jack-o-lanterns made by customers will be illuminated and displayed all together to create a fun spectacle!
Time: 17:00-20:00

World Music Festival
Oct.7
The World Music Festival, a collaboration between Japan and nine countries with Kyoto sister-city relationships, will be held.

Take a Photo with Lovely Maiko using the ''eAR'' App

Just run the app and beautiful maiko will appear on the screen! See her greet you and perform her traditional dance whilst you capture photographs and videos. You can even create special images featuring yourself!
