KAGIZEN
Created to please the eye and the essence of the refined sweet taste of Old Kyoto, the confections of Kagizen Yoshifusa, wonderful works of art in their own right, have been pleasing people for over 300 years. What could be more perfect than a bowl of bitter, hand-whipped maccha tea and an exquisite sweet? Come to Kagizen and enjoy the sweet wonders of Kyoto's past. The Gion Shop interior is a must see (look for two 3-meter high chests made of precious wood: one has old deep-red lacquered delivery boxes stacked on top) Also look for the original carved wooden sweet molds over the doorway.
