KYOTO VISITOR’S GUIDE
A guide to experience Kyoto - Japan's Ancient Capital

Since July 1987, KYOTO VISITOR’S GUIDE (KVG) has introduced the charms of Kyoto, the international tourist city, from various angles. The magazine has been a source of practical and useful information for tourists as well as full of informative and educational English guide.

In those days, no such an English guide existed in Kyoto ― a copy of KVG was a must for every international tourist in order to fully enjoy and understand the city: detailed color maps of most of the main areas of Kyoto and its surrounding areas, excellent information on accommodation, shopping and dining, a complete monthly listing of what is on at Kyoto's temples, shrines, museums, theaters and other important cultural institutions.

However, in the early 2020, KVG had no choice but decided to take a cease of publishing this long-loved and -needed magazine due to the travel restrictions caused by the world-wide spread of COVID-19. In March 2021, KVG has made its new start which presents the magazine’s new style and renewed central concept.

Kyoto is limitless and has so much to offer. KVG will continue to share stories about this beautiful, resilient city and her people.

Articles and Photographs Wanted !!
We are a small magazine and so is our budget. However we are always looking for short, interesting pieces about Kyoto: traditional, art, culture, new trends, restaurants, bars, etc. We are also always looking for photographs to use. Though we can not pay, we will give you credit for your work and an excellent byline (with an email contact and/or phone number, which can be an excellent addition to your resume or portfolio). Send your articles or photos to the editorial section either by mail or email, then we will correspond to your soon.
